I’m excited to attend two upcoming workshops, one in September and one in October.
On September 7 I’ll travel to Charleston, SC for GCM Collective One Day. GCM Collective is a network which emphasizes hubs of churches/missional communities in a city that seek to have one missional community for every 1000 persons. Their orthodox doctrine combined with on-the-ground missional praxis is exciting to see. I’m glad Shawn Maze of Sanctuary Church put me on to this event.
The next workshop will be Oct 21-23 in Pawleys Island, SC put on by 3DM. If you haven’t read any of Mike Breen or 3DM, you are missing out. Breen was a pioneer of sorts for missional communities, and he has helped come up with the Lifeshapes as a discipleship tool. The big ‘a ha’ moment I’ve received from Breen and 3DM is that if you build the church, you might get disciples, but if you first build up disciples you will almost always get the church.
Plus, 3DM has some sweet artwork. 🙂
If you are able to travel to Charleston or Pawleys Island, I highly recommend these events.
